JOB SUMMARY:

The Logistics Specialist will coordinate the activities and operations of the warehouse, such as verifying and keeping records of incoming and outgoing shipments, unpacking incoming shipments and preparing outgoing shipments.  This is a vital role in our operations, as you will play a key part in maintaining efficient inventory management and customer satisfaction.  Ultimately, you will ensure that the company’s products arrive at their destinations in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining accurate inventory levels of existing products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  •  Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Inspect packages for damages or defects.
  • Unload, unpack, and properly store incoming inventory.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items.
  • Ensure accuracy of order fulfillment by verifying quantities and product quality.
  • Utilize basic math skills to calculate shipping costs, weights, and dimensions.
  • Operate forklifts, or other equipment to load and unload materials, as needed.
  • Maintain organized records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve any shipping or receiving discrepancies.
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assemble and stage products/ kits to be shipped.
  • Maintains inventory of materials and supplies.
  • Use RF scanner and Excel to scan and record shipments.
  • Drive to/ from delivery company, such as UPS and FedEx to ship products, ensuring products are delivered on time.
  • Support leadership in areas of logistical support, including communication with customers, and internal and external parties, as needed.

 REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using computer systems for inventory tracking and order processing; proficiency in Excel required.
  • Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
  • Must be able to switch gears and be adaptable to changing needs and priorities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 3 years of related work experience required.
  • Valid state motor vehicle operators license for forklift truck required or must be able to obtain forklift certification.
  • Must meet motor vehicle driving requirements for company insurability.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  •  Must be able to lift up heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, as needed.
  • Must be able to travel, as required, approximately 10%.

Job Summary:

As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of Expedition Communication’s products and services for satellite-based platforms.

With your assigned customer accounts, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of satellite communication projects that involve the installation and maintenance of VSAT systems. These systems are used to provide broadband internet, voice, and data services.

In this role you are customer facing and supporting their needs for satellite installations and/or services via full cycle project planning. You will monitor and track the progress of the project; organize logistics; and work to ensure goals and timeline are aligned, via managing expectations and communications.  Externally, you will coordinate with our clients to schedule times on-site and coordination of any clearance/equipment needs. You’ll also coordinate with vendors to ensure timelines are met while also providing regular updates on the status of installation deliverables to our customers.

Essential Functions:  

  • Plan, schedule, and manage end-to-end VSAT installation projects.
  • Coordinate field technicians, subcontractors, and logistics teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
  • Site Assessments: Overseeing the site survey to determine optimal locations for VSAT equipment (satellite dish, modem, etc.).
  • Coordination with Vendors: Managing relationships with hardware and software vendors, satellite operators, and subcontractors involved in installation.
  • Logistics Management: Coordinating delivery and installation of VSAT hardware, such as satellite dishes and modems.
  • Liaison with clients and internal project stakeholders throughout project life cycle.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure that projects are implemented on-time and on-budget using the specified product and services sets sold by the sales team.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Alert key stakeholders to any risks/issues that may arise.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Create case orders and work orders via SalesForce.

Education and Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree, Business Administration, Communications preferred.
  • 4-7 years of project management experience with similar experience and proven success.
  • Strong knowledge of project management systems and methodologies; PMP Certification preferred.
  • Experience in managing complex technical projects; preferably installations for technical products.
  • Advanced fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Salesforce (or other CRM) Visio, SharePoint, and other project management software; Salesforce preferred.
  • Familiarity with project portfolio management principles.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Field Service Technician (Vsat/ Internet) – Nationwide

Location: Boston, Florida, Nashville, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh

As a Field Service Technician, you will be installing satellite internet networks and traveling to customer sites to install wireless access points, routers, switches, and other hardware, to include installation and maintenance/ repair of various satellite technologies.

Pay: $55,195.00 – $59,989.00 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Daily customer-focused interactions for commercial accounts in the field to diagnose, troubleshoot, and occasionally deploy VSAT/Satellite Broadband Internet communication systems. Field work may include antenna work via accessing commercial rooftops, replacing electronic components (i.e., LNBs, BUCs, Feedhorns, Reflectors, IFL coaxial cable, and satellite modems).
  • Replace WIFI access points (ceiling-mounted); repair/replace CAT6 terminations on existing cabling and/or install extended demark cabling from telco wallboard to a network rack.
  • Coordinate with the dispatch team and store managers during normal business hours (end of the day) to arrange access for overnight network migration.
  • Locate existing network infrastructure and inventory equipment to be replaced.
  • Call into a bridge to ensure network outage is approved before initiating migration.
  • Replace routers, switches, and access points at a location.
  • Call into the bridge to perform post-migration tests and upload results to the portal.
  • Pack old equipment & ensure work areas are clean and ready for the start of business.
  • Complete all required paperwork and photo documentation accurately, and legibly, and obtain proper approvals from job site location management for completion signoff.
  • Communicate job progress to Expedition Communications Project Managers, Coordinators, and Engineering teams.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree in electronic/engineering/Telecom or data networks, or 2 years of equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in the networking or telecommunications field with some experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and tracing networks.
  • Must be able to use basic hand tools (saw, wrenches, screwdrivers, drills) and ladders; strong mechanical skills required.

 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Good technical aptitude with good critical thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with VSAT/Satellite Broadband systems including troubleshooting.
  • Networking experience; familiarity with network topology logical diagrams.
  • Basic understanding of LAN/WAN network topology; familiarity with WAN circuit identification and devices.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with EIA/TIA cable and conduit installation standards.
  • Must understand Cellular/WIFI systems to perform signal measurements and speed tests within the environment.
  • Ability to use software for field updates; Salesforce preferred.

 OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Travel is expected for this position (up to 75%).
  • Must be able to pass background investigations to obtain TWIC, CBIDS, or JPAS identification cards, including drug screening as needed.
  • Must have the authorization to work in the U.S. and a valid US Driver’s license with clean MVR for the previous 5 years.
  • Regular domestic and international travel requires the ability to obtain a passport.
  • Position requires the physical ability to lift to 75 pounds & climb structures on land and offshore for the purpose of installing communication and antenna systems.
  • Must be able to haul block, run cable and work with concrete.
  • Must be willing to work in adverse weather conditions.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with Dispatch/Service Management software a plus.
  • Experience with antenna signal acquisition and peaking is a plus.
  • Certifications preferred. Valid OSHA certification preferred.
  • Experience terminating coaxial cables is a plus.
  • Deployment of VSAT/Satellite Broadband systems is a plus.
